ફિલ્મ જંગલબુકની મૂળ વાર્તા લખનાર રૂડયાર્ડ કિપ્લીંગ અંગ્રેજ હતાં, પરંતુ 
જન્મે ભારતીય હતા. એમનો જન્મ એ સમયના બોમ્બેમાં ૩૦ ડિસેમ્બર ૧૮૬૫ના દિવસે 
થયો હતો. એમના પિતા જોન અને એલિસ નવા નવા જ બ્રિટનથી ભારત આવ્યાં હતાં. 
પિતા જીજીભોય સ્કૂલ ઓફ આર્ટના સ્થાપત્ય શિલ્પ વિભાગના વડા હતાં. રૂડયાર્ડ 
માતાનાં લાડકા હતા, પરંતુ ૬ વર્ષની ઉંમરે તેમને બ્રિટિશ શિક્ષણ લેવા સાઉથસી
 મોકલવામાં આવ્યા ત્યાં હોલોવેઝ પરિવારે તેમને દત્તક લીધા હતાં. આ લોકોએ 
નાનકડા રૂડયાર્ડ પર સાવકા મા-બાપ જેવાં જુલમ કર્યા અને રૂડયાર્ડ કોઈનેય 
કહ્યાં વગર સહન કરતા રહ્યા. પોતાનું દુઃખ ભૂલવા એ પુસ્તકો વાંચવા લાગ્યા. 
હોલોવેઝ એના પુસ્તકો ફેંકી ન દે એ માટે રૂડયાર્ડ ઉપરના ઓરડામાં વસ્તુઓ 
ખસેડીને અવાજ કરતાં કરતાં વાંચતા હતા.<br />

પાંચ વર્ષ અત્યાચાર સહન કર્યા પછી રૂડયાર્ડ ભાંગી પડવાના આરે હતા, 
ત્યારે એક મહેમાનેે એમની સ્થિતિ જોઈ અને રૂડયાર્ડની માતાને ફરિયાદ કરી. 
ત્યારે માંડ રૂડયાર્ડનો છૂટકારો થયો. તેમને ડેવોન ખાતે નવા પરિવારમાં 
મૂકવામાં આવ્યાં, નવી સ્કૂલમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા. અહીં તેઓ સ્કૂલના 
અખબારના તંત્રી બન્યા અને તેમની લખવાની કળા ખીલી ઊઠી.<br />
<br />
૧૮૮૨માં રૂડયાર્ડ ભારત પાછા આવ્યા. માતા-પિતા સાથે લાહોર રહેવા લાગ્યા. 
અહીંના સ્થાનિક અખબારમાં નોકરી કરવા લાગ્યા. એમાં ભારતનાં વગડા અને જંગલ 
ખૂંદવા મળ્યાં. સ્થાનિક ભૂગોળ અને લોકોની લઘુકથાઓની એક શ્રેણી તેમણે 
અંગ્રેજીમાં લખી. એ પુસ્તકરૂપે પ્રગટ થતાં એમના બ્રિટન અમેરિકામાં વખાણ 
થયા. એમની મુલાકાત વોલ્કોટ બાલેસ્ટીર નામના સાહિત્યના એજ્ન્ટ સાથે થઈ. એના 
કારણે તે અમેરિકા ગયાં, ત્યાં બાલેસ્ટીરના પરિવાર, ખાસ કરીને બહેન કેરી 
સાથે ઓળખાણ થઈ જે પછીથી રૂડયાર્ડની પત્ની બની. તેમને ત્રણ સંતાન થયા 
પુત્રીઓ જોસેફિન અને એલ્સી તથા પુત્ર જોન. પછી રૂડયાર્ડે અમેરિકા છોડી 
ખાસ્સું ભ્રમણ કર્યું હતું. અને ત્રણ યાદગાર પુસ્તકો લખ્યાં હતાં. ધી જંગલ

હાઈસ્કૂલમાં ભણતી એશા ખરે કેલિર્ફોિનયાનાં સારાતોગા ખાતે રહે છે. તેણે ત્રણ
 દિવસ સુધી બરાબર મગજ કસ્યું, પછી એને ખ્યાલ આવ્યો કે અત્યારની બેટરીઓ 
ચાર્જ થવામાં ખૂબ વધારે સમય લે છે.<br />

તેણે મગજ દોડાવવા માડયું અને આખરે સુપરકન્ડક્ટર નામક એવી પદ્ધતિ વિકસાવી
 કે જે ખરેખર વીજળીવેગે ચાર્જ થઈ જાય. આપણે મોબાઈલ વગેરેમાં વાપરીએ છીએ એ 
બેટરી ચાર્જ કરતાં એક-બે કલાક ઓછામાં ઓછા લાગે છે. ત્યારે એશાનું 
સુપરકન્ડક્ટર ૨૦-૩૦ સેક્ન્ડમાં જ ચાર્જ થઈ જાય છે. સામાન્ય બેટરી ૧૦૦૦ વખત 
ચાર્જ કરી શકાય છે તો એશાનું સુપરકન્ડક્ટર ૧૦,૦૦૦ વખત ચાર્જ કરી શકાય છે. 
તે નાનકડી જગ્યામાં અખૂટ ઈલેક્ટ્રોન ભરી આપે છે. એની આ શોધને
