 ઉપકરણ હતું. તેમણે વીજચુંબકીય વિકિરણના ગુણધર્મોનો અભ્યાસ કર્યો અને 
શોધ્યું કે એ કિરણોને કેન્દ્રીત કરી શકાય, પરાવર્તન કરી શકાય, ધ્રુવીભવન 
તથા વ્યતિકરણ કરી શકાય. વીજચુંબકીય તરંગોની ગતિ માપીને તેમની ગતિ પ્રકાશની 
ગતિ જેટલી જ છે એવું સાબિત ક્યું. ૩૨ વર્ષની ઉંમરે બોન યુનિવર્સિટીમાં 
ફિઝિક્સના પ્રોફેસર તરીકે તેમની નિમણૂક થઈ હતી. વીજચુંબકીય તરંગોની 
આવૃત્તિનો એકમ સાઈકલ/સેંકડ હતો. તેને હવે હર્ટ્ઝ નામ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે. ૩૭

એન્જિન જેવો અવાજ કરે છે. તેના પરથી આ સ્કૂટરનું નામ ‘ક્કવેસ્પા’ પડયું. જો
